Chartered Management Accountants working in practice are regulated by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

CIMA offers an internationally recognised qualification which focuses on accounting in business. All members must adhere to the institute's ethical guidelines, byelaws and regulations.

The institute is a member of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB) along with the other major UK institutes.
